Connect with employers on campus
Dozens of major employers will turn out this Thursday 28 July for the Careers Centre’s 2016 Internship and Vacation Work Fair at the Great Hall from midday to 3pm. Find out how to prepare and make the most of the fair.

Discover a wealth of research opportunities in science, health or medicine at Westmead Research Hub’s Student Open Day next Thursday 4 August. Register now to meet supervisors, learn about scholarships, tour the campus, and enjoy afternoon tea, BBQ and drinks with the Westmead Student Research Society.

  • Fit some sport and exercise into your timetable with a four month Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness Gym Pass, valid until your last exam.

  • Watch our talented students battle it out at the University of Sydney Union’s band comp, every Thursday at 7pm from 28 July – 18 August at Manning Bar.

  • Nominations for undergraduate and postgraduate Fellows of Senate open on 27 July 2016 and close at 12pm on 10 August 2016. Download a nomination form from the Senate elections website. 

  • Missed out on today’s ODay? There’s still time to join clubs and societies. Get your Semester 2 ACCESS card for $45.
  • Enhance your undergraduate or postgraduate degree through an elective with the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. You can change your units of study up until 5 August – just make sure you check your host faculty’s requirement before taking another faculty’s electives.

  • Is anyone doing critical social work? Register now for a masterclass in social justice and social work on 10 August from 6pm. Led by Professor Donna Baines.
  • Keep our campus a safe one this semester. Make sure you’re familiar with the University’s safety procedures and know what to do if something happens.

  • Reminder: transport concessions will no longer be available on paper tickets from 1 August. Make sure you’re Opal-ready now.

  • Keep an eye on your inbox – some of you may be selected to participate in the Australian Government’s Student Experience Survey and will receive an email invitation next week.

  • From today, the Fisher and Law libraries will be open 24/7.

  • World renowned Gehl Architects together with Campus Infrastructure & Services are looking for 25 students to help survey the campus from 10 to 13 August. Email Meaghan Greer to find out more.
