Since 2006, the Careers and Employability Office has been offering its tailored and distinct services to all of our Business School students.
Achieving career aspirations for all of our students is a top priority for our Business School. Our team of dedicated business career experts offer a specialised careers and employability service for every student across all of our degree programs. Our career support includes strong linkages into industry and our corporate partners are featured in as many of our events and services as possible.

What's on in O-Week?

If you’re a new student this semester, we’re looking forward to seeing you at the Business School Orientation Day on Wednesday 1 March. You can learn more about the school, meet a senior mentor to show you around, and even get a professional photo taken for your LinkedIn profile. 

Industry Placement Programs are kicking off again! 

What is the Industry Placement Program (IPP)? Hear what Bachelor of Commerce/Arts student, Emma Birch has to say about her experience.

“The IPP was a great opportunity to work, study and live in Paris. Not only was I able to practice my French but I also learned a lot about the industry I would like to work in. LUCY Mentoring Program

An innovative leadership program aimed at women studying in the University of Sydney Business School. The Program inspires, motivates and educates women about the opportunities available for employment and leadership in the corporate and public sectors. This will be achieved by establishing relationships between individual students and mentors, who are all professionals in the corporate, public and not for profit sectors.

Business Alumni Mentoring Program

There is a wealth of knowledge and experience within our Business School alumni community. We believe engaging students during their study with this community offers a unique opportunity for our students to be inspired and learn from the experiences of our alumni. It also provides the chance for our alumni to give back to the Business School community, and to contribute to the development of aspiring business leaders.

Success at the GradConnection Top100 Awards

Last week the University of Sydney was awarded the Most Employable Students Award, as well as Business and Law School student Jasmin Jade Hamade taking out the Ashurst Law Award!

She shares some of her stand our moments with the Business School and the Careers and Employability Office.

"All it took me was to reach out in my first year to the Business School for opportunities. Opportunities to do fantastic things are definitely out there for people who are genuinely passionate. Over the last three years, I have been a Career Leader for the Careers and Employability Office, I have mentored 16 incoming students as part of the Peer Mentoring Program- three of which I still mentor and keep regular contact with, I have been mentored myself through the Alumni Mentoring Program, I am the only student member of the Business School's Equity Working Party, I am part of the Business School's Student Advisory Committee, am a Compass Student Leader with the Widening Participation and Outreach team and am President of the Work and Organisational Studies Society" Opportunities are out there and I hope I have inspired students to seek them.

Journey Crowdfunding

Business School graduates launched Journey Crowdfunding with the aim of empowering individuals in need and supporting their quest for a better life. 

Journey Crowdfunding is a giving platform that helps real people achieve real outcomes. We partner with social organisations to help their beneficiaries fund the fulfilment of their needs and the achievement of their goals.

We are located in the Abercrombie Building, Basement Level open Monday-Friday, 12-3pm, during teaching weeks unless otherwise indicated.
