Achieving career aspirations for all of our students is a top priority for our Business School. Our team of dedicated business career experts offer a specialised careers and employability service for every student across all of our degree programs. Our career support includes strong linkages into industry and our corporate partners are featured in as many of our events and services as possible.

Business School students who engage early with career exploration, professional skill development and industry connections are best equipped to make their mark in today's complex and changing professional world.

Exciting news - it’s our 10th Year Anniversary!
Celebrating 10 Years of Careers and Employability

Stay tuned for an exciting year ahead of looking at how the CEO has evolved, where we are now and hot careers related topics! You will hear from the CEO team, business school students and loads of employers on campus.

EmployableYOU is our newly designed calendar of events, that allows you to become career ready by getting involved with all the exciting activities happening across Semester 1 & 2.

The Careers and Student Experience Lounge 2017 also brings you our revived shared learning space, providing you support and coaching on your resume, cover letter, career exploration and to discover great careers resources online.

The Careers and Student Experience Lounge is located in the Abercrombie Building, Basement Level.
We have extended the opening hours to 12-3pm Monday - Friday.

IPP Information session – Paris and Chile Placement Programs 2017

9th March 4-5pm, Abercrombie Building, 1170

Gain invaluable international experience through a 6 week program over the winter vacation; living, working and studying in the heart of Paris or Santiago whilst earning 12 credit points towards your degree.
These programs provide a unique opportunity to learn about the intricacies of global business, politics and culture and network with business leaders, government officials and students in a cross-cultural context

Applications open from 9th to 20th March 2017

Local Industry Placement Program Information Session – Semester 2, 2017

14th March 1-2pm & 5-6pm, Abercrombie Building, 1050

IPP offers an opportunity to work for a leading organisation as part of your degree.  You will gain quality industry experience whilst earning credit towards your degree by working part-time (unpaid) with one of our industry partners.

Work on projects which allow you to apply the knowledge and theory gained through your degree, in an authentic business setting developing and implementing sustainable business solutions.  If you’re looking to succeed in business, completing an industry placement will set you apart from other graduates and give you one of the best references a graduate can have. 

Placements are available in all discipline areas.

Applications open from 14th to 24th March 2017.

NEXT Innovation Accelerator Program – semester 1 2017

Applications now open!

The 'NEXT' Innovation Accelerator is a national work integrated learning experience supported by Deloitte, Westpac, IAG, and CSIRO. NEXT provides an opportunity for university students to step through a 12 week innovation accelerator program, gain real industry experience and essential professional skills.

NEXT is a for credit unit of study in the Masters of Commerce and Masters of Professional Accounting. Students are offered industry mentors, on-sight skills workshops, access to subject experts and the opportunity to pitch their innovations by Westpac, Deloitte, CSIRO and IAG.

The NEXT Innovation Accelerator will act as the catalyst for development of skills and attributes required to work in a globalised knowledge economy (innovation, teamwork, communication, critical thinking, intercultural working and leadership) 

Applications close at midnight on 12th February 2017.

The Google Online Marketing Challenge is a unique competition for students to experience and create online marketing campaigns for a real business or nonprofit using Google AdWords. Over 110, 000 students and professors from almost 100 countries have participated in the competition to date.
