Event image 12908
110 students and 8 teachers from Compass partner high schools had the opportunity of a lifetime on Thursday morning - to listen to His Holiness the Dalai Lama speak at a forum at the University of Sydney entitled "Education Matters".
Students from Bass High School, Fairfield High School, Kogarah High School, Liverpool Boys and Girls High Schools, Marrickville IEC and Sir Joseph Banks High School travelled to the Seymour Centre to hear His Holiness speak with his usual great humour on the purpose of education in creating meaningful lives.

Congratulations to Huda Kassim Mahmood (pictured above) of Bass High School, who won our question competition!

Episode 2: When you have a dream, you have a 'never quit' attitude and that's exactly what is proving to be the difference for Jayne as she forges a successful fareer in the field of veterinary science. It's a long trek from an outback town to a university campus, but for George it's a journey well worth taking as he plans to become a teacher and give back to his local community.
Models of Achievement is a collaboration between TVS and Bridges to Higher Education, a network of which the University of Sydney is a proud partner.
