Data network maintenence will occur between 7am and 9am on Saturday 1 September. During this time, you may experience a brief loss of connection to the network, including online services such as the University website. Email system maintenence will take place on Monday 3 September between 6pm and 9pm. Any changes to the above schedule will be published on the ICT service status webpage. Associate Professor Kerry Ressler from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at Emory University will discuss current approaches to understanding the molecular mechanisms of ‘fear processing’ in mice. Through specific manipulations of fear circuits, it is hoped that novel treatments and interventions can be identified. Ressler will also discuss new findings from human genetics research pointing to molecular genetic pathways that may further our understanding of post-traumatic stress disorder and fear processing.
