Making new connections happen : Sydney researchers meeting Sydney researchers
The Research Development and Collaboration team in the Research Portfolio would like to run a series of lunchtime forums next year. We would like to hear your thoughts to gauge your appetite for such an opportunity.
The Research Development and Collaboration team in the Research Portfolio would like to run a series of lunchtime forums next year.

The purpose of these regular, brown-bag get-togethers will be to provide the opportunity (frequently missing at the moment) for researchers to meet each other. In particular, to connect people who might not usually meet each other, people from related or even quite different disciplines; to help foster the beginnings of new, interesting and useful research relationships that draw on the whole of the University’s community of researchers.

Loosely, we are proposing that the sessions would be run monthly, be open to all researchers to present, would last for about an hour giving each speaker an opportunity to talk for about 5 minutes about what they do and what they need in their research.

We would like to hear your thoughts to gauge your appetite for such an opportunity.  To express interest visit the feedback form.
