Sydney College of the Arts invites you to attend Intersections: Indigenous art in the Contemporary, a panel discussion chaired by Danie Mellor, featuring key Australian art identities, on Wednesday 17 April, 12 to 1pm.
The Blak Douglas (aka Adam Hill), MFA candidate Janelle Evans and the University of Sydney curator Matt Poll, will talk about their art practices and reflect on the broader context of contemporary indigenous art in Australia.
Hosted by SCA, the event has been organised by the SCA Student Society (SCASS) as a part of the University of Sydney Union’s 2013 Indigenous Festival.
The panel discussion will be accompanied by an exhibition at the Verge Gallery, showcasing collaborative works made by Eora College and Sydney College of the Arts students. The exhibition will open on Thursday 18 April, 6 to 8pm, and will be on display from Thursday 18 April to Friday 3 May.
